The Paling is a luxury outdoor armchair manufactured in fine quality plantation teak. Boasting a substantial teak frame, the beauty of the Paling comes from the vertical slat detailing along the back and arms of the chair.
The Paling comes complete with specially made upholstery; a generously thick seat pad and contoured back pad which are made to order by our inhouse upholstery team.
The Paling range consists of an armchair, sofa & large sofa. Should you want to complete the look, the Paling works particularly well with our Menton coffee table and side table.
Whilst this is the outdoor version of the Paling, we also do an indoor version which works extremely well in wood rich, scandi-modern schemes.

Outdoor Upholstery
Our outdoor pads are made to order by our own in-house team. Available in a choice of outdoor fabrics which are all Crib 5 fr treated making them perfect for commercial or domestic settings.
We offer three types main types of outdoor fabric:
Aquaclean® – Our Cruise & Solent ranges are by aquaclean®, these outdoor fabrics which are made with an innovative fabric treatment technology that allows you to clean stains using only water. The Cruise fabric has more of a standard outdoor fabric feel whilst the Solent is softer to the touch with a slight boucle feel to them. Made in Spain.
Olefin – Our Olefin fabrics are high quality, specialist outdoor fabrics. These solution dyed fabrics are easy care and stain resistant. Made in Catalonia.
Cap Ferret – A colourful take on a classical coastal stripe, the Cap Ferret is a cotton based fabric with an outdoor treatment. Made in Portugal.

Teak
We use a fantastic quality plantation teak sourced from our trusted partners in Indonesia. The table tops are hand finished to produce a wonderfully smooth and tactile wooden table top.
All of our outdoor teak items are supplied in their natural state, without any additional oil treatments. Over time, the teak top will develop a beautiful silver-grey patina due to exposure to the elements. If you prefer to maintain the wood’s original colour, you might consider applying teak oil or UV protection oil. This should be done every 6-12 months, depending on the product you use, to preserve the wood’s natural hue.
These tables comply with strict FLEGT regulations to ensure the legality of the wood.
The teak we use for outdoor furniture is plantation teak sourced from Indonesia. All Indonesian teak must adhere to the strict FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance, and Trade) and EUTR (EU Timber Regulation) rules, ensuring the timber’s sustainability and legality. Indonesia voluntarily participates in this scheme to maintain its excellent reputation in manufacturing.
